...the ego has landed

Congratulations! You have now arrived on the least interesting page of the site!! Having always been headed in a Graphic Design direction, my interest in photography began when I was a model for my fiancée's photography course. I'd never really thought of doing it myself until this point and so, the following year (having moved to South Shields from Fife) I took up a photography course and got a whopping great big grade A for my troubles. Needless to say, I jacked in any more graphic design. Seven years of it had bored me to near death.

Probably the highlight of my photography career so far was having my work selected to represent South Tyneside College at an art exhibition at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle. A selection of these photographs can be found in Gallery two.

I have also been featured in the Shields Gazette for my achievements at South Tyneside College, along with my fiancée, for receiving 5 grade As between us.

Qualification wise, I have 2 A-levels and 8 AS-levels, all of which im very proud of. Here's the list: Mister Photography

Graphic Communication A
Photography A
-------
Business Management A
Classical Studies A
Geography A
Graphic Design A
Maths A
English B
Psychology B
Art and Design B

Just to clear things up a bit here, half of these were achieved in Scotland so I've shown them all as English equivalents to make a bit more sense.

...the camera

Canon EOS 400D

For all my photography, I use a Canon EOS 400D DSLR 10 Megapixel camera. It's probably the most popular Canon camera available at the moment because of it's affordable price and high quality. I say affordable but what I really mean is 'cheaper than most'.

All the photographs you will see on this site (bar those in gallery two which were taken with a 7Mp Vivitar digicam some years ago) are taken with a standard 18-55mm kit lens but I'm hoping to add more photographs taken with my two new lenses; a Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens and a Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC HSM Wide Angle lens.
